Subject: When was Sierra Leone Discovered?
Content: Can you believe that Sierra Leone was once the beacon of Education? It is interesting to read some of the postings in the varying blogs, with reference to the different subjects the authors are presenting. But my advice as a caution to us all is, that like “ambassadors” – we are representing the image of our country (Sierra Leone) in presenting our opinions and facts; to enjoy the fun in writing but to do so with the integrity that belongs to the art. I am taking this stance because of the love for my fellow Sierra Leoneans. I would like to hear or see the return of our country to what it once was, and for the other nationalities (again) respecting us (even partly), by what we write and say or do in public arenas like the web. You may very well know that with the advent of modern technology, communications have become sort of instamatic. At times, we see things happening in the remotest parts of the world get transmitted to us in other parts, as they occur. We should know that people are out there interested in what we are as a people (Sierra Leoneans), more so for our rich history and cultural heritage. This is no lie; I am learning about a lot of interesting stories from you guys, in presenting what would have been impossible or taken me more years to know (either formally or otherwise). The burning question I would like to ask is not who, why or how but, “When was Sierra Leone discovered?”
